USES
Rinse rice cakes in cold water first. If they’re firm from refrigeration or freezing, soak in cold water for 10–20 minutes until softened. For tteokbokki, simmer in broth with gochujang, sugar, and veggies until soft and saucy. For tteokguk, add to simmering broth and cook until slices turn soft and slightly translucent. Always cook thoroughly before eating.
